OUR PLEDGE & MISSION

We honor God and Country. First and foremost, we are proud and loyal American Patriots, and we salute and fully support our military. We love this country because our immigrant ancestors taught us why it is the greatest nation on earth, and that we were all blessed to be Americans.

We also appreciate and respect our parents and  grandparents for the sacrifices they made when coming to America  to allow for us to have a better life and opportunity than they had. We are aware of how fortunate we are, having experienced the culture and traditions they brought with them from the old country and cared enough to preserve and pass them down through generations.  We are grateful we were raised as Americans first, but were also educated about our roots and made proud of the rich history of our Italian ancestry. So, we wish to carry forward the flag of our ancestors. And for those no longer with us, we together will add breath and voice to their inaudible whispers, also keeping their stories alive for all to hear, taste, smell, touch and see. 

‘American Sons of Roma’ intends to fill a major role in protecting and spotlighting the cultural identity of Italian Americans, and to share what we believe is history’s greatest and most beautiful and unique culture with future generations.  In doing so, we look to grow and raise the profile and legacy of  Italian Americans and our heritage, so that our culture and history is never overlooked and forgotten, and its unmatched contributions to America and the civilized world are never taken for granted, and always honored, appreciated and respected!  We will achieve this mission by galvanizing proud Italian American men locally, statewide and ultimately even nationally. We will do so by initially reaching out and forging meaningful connections with fellow Italian American men who are seeking to reestablish a bond with the rich Italian traditions they grew up with, and with other Italian descendants who never had the opportunity, but now wish to learn and experience it through fellowship. An Italian brotherhood!

Our members will assist and serve the community and our country when in need and called upon, with Strength and Honor!  Fortitudinum Et Honorem. 

OUR VISION

‘American Sons of Roma’ also intends to establish a philanthropic arm to advocate for the needs of Italian Americans. We want to play a major role in sponsoring and promoting cultural events, sporting events, public service projects, festivals, and Catholic based charities and organizations. We look to partner with groups to help develop and support Italian heritage based educational programs, language classes, lectures, arts, etc.  With such programs, we also plan to help advance the goals of young Italian American students by offering scholarships and internships. Through grassroots efforts, we will ultimately work towards also helping to maintain strong social and economic ties between the United States and Italy
